Success story of climbing
We organized many group to trango and got success but the most
memorable is in 2011, we organize a group of climbers from Spain leading by Adolfo with four other members Easter, Javier, Ana, Juanito. These climbers we are the most efficient we saw in our whole career and now these climbers are in their home and fit and fine. All these are like family to us.
The climbers came from different parts of the Europe, looking for the best team to help them achieve their dream of climbing Trango Tower. They found us through Adolfo who is also member of this team who praised our work to other. He spoke about how we care for safety, treat climbers like family, and make their dreams come true. After talking with us online, they knew we were the right choice.
When the climbers arrived in Islamabad, they were strangers to each other and also to us other than Adolfo. But soon, they became like family. We spent time together during team meetings, enjoyed delicious meals, and shared stories. One special night in Skardu, we sat around a bonfire. The climbers talked about their past adventures and their hopes for this climb. It was a magical moment that brought us all closer.
Everyone speak about their past but Adolfo speak his last experience in such a beautiful way, he a climber from Spain. Hel told that his last experience in paksitan for trango he remember because of same bonefire has been arranged by the company when he comes first time. He said, “Climbing has always been my passion, but Trango Tower was unlike anything I had ever faced. This is the story of my unforgettable journey”.
When I first heard about Trango Tower, I felt both excited and nervous. I read about its vertical walls and smooth granite, and I knew it would be the toughest climb of my life. I studied about trango. I joined a group of climbers from around the world, and we decided to work with a local hosting agency in Pakistan and we met with Akhon Ibrahim the owner of Machulo trek & tour Pakistan. Their reputation for organizing safe and successful expeditions gave us confidence.
We started our journey in Islamabad, where we met our Akhon Ibrahim as a local Guide and the rest of the teammembers. Everyone was friendly, and we quickly became friends. The agency arranged everything for us—permits, transportation, and even a cultural tour of the city. It was my first time in Pakistan, and I was amazed by the kindness of the people.
The real adventure began when we reached Skardu. The drive through narrow mountain roads was thrilling, and the views were breathtaking. In Skardu, we had a same bonfire night as today where we shared our stories. That evening, I felt a strong connection with my teammates and our guide. We were no longer strangers; we were a team.
The trek to the base camp was both beautiful and challenging. We walked for days through valleys, crossed rivers, and climbed steep trails. The local porters carried heavy loads with incredible strength and always had a smile on their faces. They inspired me to keep going, even when I felt tired.
At the base camp, we prepared for the climb. We checked our gear, practiced rope techniques, and studied the route. The agency’s team kept us updated on the weather and made sure we had everything we needed. I remember sitting in my tent one night, looking up at Trango Tower. Its massive walls seemed impossible to climb, but I was determined.
The climb was the hardest thing I had ever done. The rock was smooth and steep, and every move required focus and strength. There were moments when I felt like giving up, especially when a snowstorm hit us halfway up the wall. But my teammates and I encouraged each other. We shared food, stories, and even laughter, which kept our spirits high.
After days of climbing, we finally reached the summit. Standing on top of Trango Tower, I felt a wave of emotions. I was exhausted but incredibly happy. The view was unlike anything I had ever seen. The endless mountains stretched in every direction, and for a moment, it felt like I was on top of the world. I thought about my family back home and how proud they would be.
When we returned to the base camp, the local villagers welcomed us with a celebration. They prepared traditional food and performed dances to honor our achievement. It was a beautiful way to end the expedition. I will never forget their kindness and hospitality.
Looking back, the journey to Trango Tower was not just about reaching the summit. It was about the friendships I made, the challenges I overcame, and the beauty of Pakistan. I am grateful to the Machulo treks & Tour Paksitan for making this dream possible and to my teammates for sharing this incredible adventure with me. Like this all other climbers shared their story of their past.
As usual we check the material and make sure that all the material has been brought or not and also the arrangements.  We asked the climbers about their experience so they expresses we find that the climbers worked hard to get ready for this big challenge. They trained to improve their climbing skills and learned how to rescue themselves if needed. They exercised every day to build strong muscles and stamina. They practiced staying calm and focused for tough moments. They got the best ropes, clothing, and tools for the climb.
Our team worked just as hard to support the climbers. Here’s what we did. We arranged permits, transport, and places to stay. We hired skilled porters and a guide who knew the mountain well. We made a comfortable camp with food, medical supplies, and radios for communication. We checked the weather every day to keep everyone safe. We prepared for any problems that could happen during the climb.
We started to move from skardu to Askoli the last village of the shiger valley. Luckly on the day there is no any block in the road so we reached almost in 1 o clock in Askoli. After lunch we went to see the village and it was lush green fields with full of wheat and some vegetable like potatoes, carrot etc.
We start our trek from Askoli to base camp. After 3 days of trekking we reached at the base camp of trango the weather was terrible. Machulo Treks and Tours Pakistan make the base camp special the Mess tent and kitchen tent we closed but the member tent are little further. They member asked us why you do this? So we explain them that because of making food with the help of stove the nose is very bad for the reason we have doen this.  After a long week finally the weather was clear. In this week we and the climbers come close because of spend time together.
The climb was not easy. The team faced many difficulties. Snowstorms and freezing winds made it hard to move forward, and there were moments when the entire team had to stop to secure themselves against the icy blasts. Visibility dropped to almost zero during these storms, making every step a calculated risk. The smooth, steep rock of Trango Tower tested their strength and skill to the limit. Every handhold was a challenge, and slipping was not an option.
As we climbed higher, the air grew thinner. Breathing became difficult, and some climbers experienced altitude sickness. One climber, Juanito, started feeling dizzy and nauseous. Despite his condition, he pushed himself to continue until we reached a safer ledge where he could rest. The team surrounded him, offering water and medication. Watching Juanito fight through his struggle gave us all a renewed sense of determination.
However, the most frightening moment came when another climber, Ana slipped on an icy patch of rock. Her foot lost grip, and she swung out on the rope, slamming her knee against the wall. She cried out in pain, and our hearts stopped. Thankfully, our Adolfo reacted quickly, securing her rope and helping her stabilize. We immediately set up a temporary support point to assess her injury. Her knee was bruised and swollen, but she insisted on continuing. We adjusted our pace to support her, taking turns to carry some of her gear.
Despite the physical pain and exhaustion, we never gave up. Long hours of climbing left us drained, with aching muscles and trembling legs. The freezing winds numbed our fingers, making it harder to grip the ropes. At times, we felt like the summit was too far, but we encouraged each other, sharing words of hope and determination. Every step was a small victory, and together, we moved forward.
The challenges brought us closer as a team. We learned to trust one another completely. Whether it was setting up anchors, sharing snacks, or simply offering a smile, every act of kindness made a difference. Juanito’s resilience, Ana’s bravery, and the team’s unity reminded us why we had come this far.
Finally, after days of relentless effort, we reached the summit of Trango Tower. Standing at the top, we were overwhelmed with emotion. Ana, despite her injury, smiled through tears. Juanito looked out at the endless mountains and said, “We made it because we never gave up on each other.” The view was breathtaking, and for a moment, all the pain and struggle faded away. We felt like we were on top of the world, united by a shared dream and an unbreakable bond. It was a moment of pure joy. Some cried, some laughed, and everyone hugged each other. They could see the endless mountains of the Karakoram. This was the happiest moment of their lives, and they felt proud of what they had achieved.
The kitchen staff and guide along the way were very kind to the climbers. They shared tea, warm food, and their prayers for a safe journey. Before leaving, the climbers attended a farewell party in the basecamp. The staff sang songs, danced, and wished them well. The climbers felt loved and welcomed by the people.
The climbers and our team shared a special connection. We listened to their needs and made sure they were happy. They trusted us, and we admired their courage. When the expedition ended, we celebrated together, feeling like one big family.
The journey to Trango Tower was not just about climbing a mountain. It was about building friendships, overcoming challenges, and sharing unforgettable moments. The climbers left with not only memories of the climb but also the love and warmth of the people they met along the way.
