The Drifika (6447m) Peak is located in Charakusa Glacier, Karakoram, Pakistan. Drifika offers a major challenge for veteran climbers. Drifica was first climbed by a Japanese expedition back in 1978, it homes in beautiful Charakusa Valley which homes to many small peaks and rock climbs. The views of K2, dream of mountain of climbers, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I and II, peaks can be seen from higher camps on the peak. It is a challenging peak, even for experienced climbers, it offers a considerably higher difficulty as compare to many other Karakoram Peaks. The base camp area is amazingly beautiful with grassy ground and snowy peaks of surrounding. There are many smaller peaks to be used for acclimatization, which are very close to base camp of Drifika. The climb is short and straightforward and it lies at a comparatively low altitude. The best climbing season is from Month of June to end of September each year.
